Emotive Geographies of the Mediterranean

X-Topia at the Venice Biennale Architettura 2025 Italian Pavilion – Terrae Aquae

We are proud to be part of the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale Architettura 2025, curated by Guendalina Salimei under the theme Terrae Aquae.

Our project, Emotive Geographies of the Mediterranean, investigates how emotional, cognitive, and social inputs can inform the way we design and experience urban coastal environments. By integrating biometric sensing, spatial analysis, and design research, the project maps how we emotionally perceive, inhabit, and construct coastal space.

The project aligns with the overarching theme of this year’s Biennale β€” Intelligens, which explores natural, artificial, and collective intelligence. It reflects our ongoing commitment to a human-centered, ecological, and technologically aware approach to urbanism.

πŸ“ Emotive Geographies of the Mediterranean is currently on view at the Arsenale as part of the Italian Pavilion.
